After three seasons of test excavations in Wogan Cavern, Dr. Rob Dinnis and his team returned in October to conduct further work on the site.
Wogan Cavern, an impressive cave lying beneath the medieval Pembroke Castle has turned our to be an extremely important site, with evidence for several early prehistoric human occupations, including those during the last Ice Age.
This talk outlines their work so far, explains why the site is so valuable to archaeology, and also provides an update on what has been discovered this year and what lies ahead in 2024.
Please note that the presentation will be very similar to the one hosted in July but with some added information from the October excavation.
This is an online webinar event that will be using the Zoom platform. The presentation will be around 30-40 minutes and there will be an opportunity to ask Rob questions following the presentation
