What are your opening times?

Are you part of English Heritage, CADW or any other organisation?
No, Pembroke Castle is an independent charitable trust
Are under 16’s allowed in on their own?
Unaccompanied under 16 years are not permitted. They must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Can I purchase tickets on arrival?
Yes, either in the admissions kiosk or our gift shop
Do you have food and drink on site?
We have a café and marquee (with varying opening times/seasons/menus) with a range of delicious light lunches, drinks, indulgent cakes & ice creams. Click here to see the Castle Kitchen.
Can I use the café without paying entry to the castle?
No. However, if you live locally, you can purchase a local members annual pass (Pembrokeshire residents) which also entitles you to a 10% discount in both the café and gift shop. Please find more information here.
Can I bring a picnic?
Visitors are welcome to picnic in the Castle grounds. We encourage visitors to take their rubbish home with them and recycle where appropriate.
Is the castle dog friendly?
Yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The only place they cannot visit is the gift shop - although we do not advise taking dogs to the top of the keep or down into the cave, as the spiral staircases are long and narrow.
Is the castle disabled friendly
There are lots of staircases and uneven surfaces. However, there is a lot to see at ground level. Please click here for more information.
What can I use as proof for a Disabled entry ticket?
Either a DWP letter or a photo of your blue badge.
Is there parking on site?
No. There is a drop off at the bottom of the drive and local car parks within walking distance. Please click here for more information.
Is photography permitted at the castle?
Visitors are welcome to take still photographs and videos in the grounds.
Can I use my drone in the castle?
Drones (remotely piloted aircraft systems) are not permitted within the Castle grounds. The wider use of drones is governed by the CAA regulations.
Can I use my annual pass for evening events – sunset cinema or outdoor theatre?
Annual passes can only be used for daily activities, which are included in the admission price. There will be an additional charge for events taking place outside of opening hours.
Do I have to book for Knight School, Falconry or any of the daily activities during the school holidays?
