Our opening times (listed below) are seasonal, so vary throughout the year. We recommend that you give yourself at least 1 hour to explore.
Please note that in the event of extremely bad weather, or unforeseen circumstances, the castle may have to close. If you are in doubt, please check our social media.

* Please note the following:
- 12 June - The Castle will be open 9.30am - 5pm
- 13 June - The Castle will be open 9.30am - 2pm with last entry 1pm as we prepare for our concert evening. You will only be able to pay on arrival.
- 25 November - 26 November: Closed to prepare the castle for our Annual Christmas Market.
- 27 November - 29 November: Our Christmas Market event is on for three days and it is free to attend. However, please note that for safety reasons our exhibition rooms and some of the grounds and towers will be closed off.
- 30 November: Closed while we clear up after our Christmas Market event.
- 24th - 26th December - Closed for Christmas.
- 1st January - Closed for New Year's Day
Prices / Annual Passes
Admission tickets include a free guided tour and are available to book online or at the castle on the day.
If you are a regular visitor to Pembroke Castle, why not take advantage of our annual pass. It is particularly good if you are a Pembrokeshire resident! An annual pass is only twice the price of single admission, or one gift-aided admission if you are a Pembrokeshire resident. This allows you free admission to the castle for a year, including our regular daytime events running in the school holidays, except for special ticketed events such as ghost tours and concerts. You will also receive member's discount in the shop and cafe.
To purchase local membership, all you need to do is bring along proof of your address within the Pembrokeshire postcode on the day, such as a driving licence/utility bill.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is an Inland Revenue scheme which allows charities to reclaim the basic rate tax you have paid as a UK taxpayer – an extra 28p for every £1 of the total paid. It makes a massive difference to charities like ours. As an independent charity Pembroke Castle Trust relies on support from people like you to help, maintain and run the castle for the enjoyment of our visitors. If you are a UK taxpayer, Pembroke Castle Trust can claim tax back from the Government when you pay the Gift Aid admission price. This includes a voluntary donation that is at least 10% more than the standard admission price. If you are not a UK taxpayer, the additional donations are extremely useful to us anyway.
Pembroke Castle Trust is a registered charity whose primary task is to maintain and run Pembroke Castle for the enjoyment of our visitors and to safeguard this historic site for future generations. Donations will help us in our future work, and if you are a UK tax payer, will also enable us to claim Gift Aid from the government. Your donation of just £1.00 on the adult admission rate, enables us as a charity to claim an additional £2.80 from the Inland Revenue in terms of Gift Aid.
Everybody is welcome to make a donation to Pembroke Castle, but only UK taxpayers can fill in a Gift Aid declaration when they do so. The completion of a Gift Aid form will not affect your personal Tax situation and if you are a higher rate tax payer you can even claim tax relief. We really appreciate your support and under no circumstances will this data be used for marketing purposes.
