Education Visits
You can choose from a self-led tour or a private structured tour which would be led by one of our experienced guides, lasts for approximately 1 hour and can be tailored to a subject of your choice. Alternatively, you can book to lead a group tour around the castle yourself. Should you wish to bring your own lunch, this can be eaten at our many picnic tables or in Western Hall if the weather is bad.
We are open for enquiries and bookings all year, though school trips can be booked for term time only. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Private Tours
For a private tour with one of our experienced guides, there will be an additional cost of £30 (maximum 30 in the group). The tour will last for approximately one hour and can be tailored to a subject of your choice.
Changes & cancellations
Please give us a much notice as possible if you need to cancel your visit. Charges may need to be made if the visit is cancelled with 7 days – this charge would be for any guided tours booked.
Parking or drop-off
School groups can be dropped off outside the Castle entrance and parking for coaches can be found at the commons car park.
