Pembroke Castle Unwraps Details of Santa's Arrival

Pembroke Castle Unwraps Details of Santa's Arrival

Exciting news! The much-loved Pembroke Castle Christmas Market is set to make a festive return in late November. Marking its 10th anniversary.  The three-day celebration will kick off at 10 am on Friday, November 24th, and wrap up at 4 pm on Sunday, November 26th. This annual tradition, which began in 2012, promises a delightful experience for families. A highlight for the weekend is Santa's grand entrance on Friday at approximately 6:30pm. However, there's a twist this year—Santa will be making a stylish arrival at the castle and staying put. In previous years Santa has left the castle and paraded through the town, but with the event growing in popularity, the change is to ensure the safety of the large crowd that now gathers for Santa’s arrival.  Santa will now be switching on a light display within the castle and visitors are encouraged to linger, enjoying musical entertainment on the castle's outer ward lawn. A limited number of Advent Calendars, very kindly donated by Valero Refinery, will be given out to children when they leave the castle.  For those who miss Santa's castle appearance, fear not! On Sunday, December 3rd at around 6:00 pm, Santa will embark on a sleigh tour through Pembroke, The Green, Monkton, and the Grove. Keep an eye on the Pembroke Town Council Facebook page for updates on Santa's route. Good news for all, entrance to the Christmas market within the castle is entirely free. Santa's Grotto will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am to 3pm.   Don't miss out on the festive spirit, these are the event opening times: Friday, November 24th: 10 am - 8 pm Saturday, November 25th: 10 am - 6 pm Sunday, November 26th: 10 am - 4 pm
